OUR MISSION
Guided by values of global social justice, empowerment, and professionalism, we are devoted to bridging cultures and promoting culturally congruent social policies and direct services to the Asian and Pacific Islander populations in the United States, Pacific Rim regions, and beyond. Specifically, we aim to integrate Western evidence-based knowledge and principles with holistic healing practices of Eastern philosophy and traditional Chinese medicine.
The institute, was established as a non-profit organization in San Diego, California in 1993 by a group of professionals with a strong commitment to address the social policy as well as human services needs of individuals and families from different cultural backgrounds within the Pacific Rim.
